Arm, Hand and Orthopedic Services

Applied Medical, Inc is treating patients with arm and hand injuries for doctors and their patients in the Dickinson area by using Occupational Therapist (OT). Two particular OT's that have been performing the majority of these treatments are Eric Halverson and Tavi Knutson.

Tavi Knutson has lead the way with her efforts since July of 2000. the majority of her experience has been through local ortho's. Both therapist have treated patients from Minnesota, Bismarck,Fargo, Billings and Minneapolis/Rochester. Diagnosis that they have worked in fall into the areas of arthroplasties, tendon lacerations,fractures,reconstructive surgeries,crush injuries, arthritis and compression syndromes. Splint fabrication is a strong area of interest and experience for Tavi.

Both therapists enjoy working with the orthopods to provide services per their individual protocols or to progress treatment as deemed appropriate if no protocol is provided. Tavi's background as a certified lymphedema therapist also allows her to address trauma based on swelling using manual lymph drainage and compression.
